Environmental Management Policy

Karijini Civil & Mining is committed to the responsible management of the natural environment. In planning and execution all work related activities, we comply with the strict environment policies put in place by project stakeholders.

Our objectives are to:

  • Apply the risk management principle of “as little as reasonably practicable (ALARP) to environmental issues.”
  • Establish environmental management standards that meet or surpass statutory, industry and, where applicable, stakeholder requirements.
  • Continually review and, where appropriate, amend our environmental standards to reflect developments in technology, statutory requirements, industry practice and community standards.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans for the control and correction of all environmental incidents that could be reasonably foreseen.
  • Include waste management and recycling.
  • Minimizing our environmental footprint through rehabilitation and environmental programs.
  • Inform all Karijini Civil & Mining personnel and contractors of their responsibilities in relation to environmental matters and to monitor the manner in which their responsibilities are discharged.
  • Regularly audit our business activities to ensure that the objectives stated above are being met.
